January buckeye began as a digital photo of the dead grass around the base of the buckeye. This photo was manipulated to make the background stripe, and printed on a piece of a linen tablecloth. The tree is fused cotton that has been discharged. The red 'cardinal' spot is painted on, and the words 'January the winter sun reclimbs the sky' are stamped.
