Various objects (e.g. rubber bands) were laid on a piece of black cotton, and then bleach was sprayed onto the surface at an angle. After the process was complete, crosshairs of black ribbon were added to mimic looking through a microscope, and a organdy organism was fused. It was then machine quilted.
The piece measures 22" by 18", and is in a private collection.
